Module 1: Biological Dentistry

Biological Dentistry is taking into account, that metals, especially when it is various metals, can cause on a long term massive reactions/allergies to the human being. There is evidence based studies that metals in the oral cavity and their physical effects (galvanism, corrosion) are linked to chronic and inflammatory diseases. The immune system can handle this sometimes for a very long period until it collapses and clinical symptoms become relevant. Like Mercury was massively used in dentistry and it took decades to realize the massive side effects of it, we do believe that NO metals in the oral cavity should be placed.

We use metal free restorative materials like Zirconia and  Ceramics. The number of patients with chronic diseases is growing faster than exponentially and there is more and more studies that show evidence, that there is a link to the oral cavity (metals, chronic infections of the bone, periodontitis root canal treated teeth) and the health of the patient.

We monitor the vitamin levels of our patients and recommend if needed the supplementation of it. Vitamin D is a Vitamin that has a lack in the population up to 50-90%, especially in regions with limited sun exposition (Scandinavia). Vitamin D is compulsory and relevant for a good bone regeneration (implants, bone augmentation), the immune system (cancer, diabetes, MS, Osteoporosis etc.)  and can even be a reason for depression. So if there is a Vitamin D deficiency, we help you to get it better. Vitamin C is very important for the gum thus it has a key role for the immune system as well. It plays an important role in the repair of tissue and is helpful against antioxidative stress.
